SFCO & ELM Present: ELM Summer Chamber Music 2024

Join us for another summer workshop. This is the 4th year in a row!

Restrictions and Registration:

San Francisco Chamber Orchestra has put together this summer workshop specifically for ELM students, for the fourth year in a row. Students are able to apply for the workshop on a scholarship registration. The camp fee per student is $600 and your fee will be covered by ELM. With this mind, please take your registration seriously and this is also why we are implementing attendance requirements for the workshop.

In order to participate, you may not miss the first day July 15th or the last day July 25th of the workshop that includes the concert. You are allowed to miss one day only, with pre-approval required by the Music Program Director. If you are interested in reserving a spot for the 8 day workshop, please fill out the Google Form.

When and Where:

July 15th - 25th from approximately 3:30-6:30pm (Concert day July 25 - 4:45-7:30pm) at ELM, 2955 Kerner. There will be a concert Thursday July 25. The concert will be at the ELM Building 2955 Kerner Blvd from 6:00-7:30pm for all families and the community.

Dates:

July 15, 16, 17, 18 Monday-Thursday 3:30-6:30pm

July 22, 23, 24, 25 Monday-Wednesday 3:30-6:30pm & Thursday 4:45-7:30pm

Who: Coaches from the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra and...and special guests

The San Francisco Chamber Orchestra is an ensemble that started in 1952 composed of the best musicians in the Bay Area.  

What:

During the 8-day workshop, you will work in a chamber group coached by San Francisco Chamber Orchestra music coaches!

Why:

This will be an incredible opportunity to develop your musical technical and sight reading skills, learn chamber music repertoire, concert preparation and develop leadership skills. Other fun activities will be integrated into the week.
